Research Article/ Review Article

SIMEC Bulletin publishes research articles in multidisciplinary subjects. While preparing the research article, the author(s) should adhere to the following guidelines:

1. The article must be 6000-7000 words including footnotes but excluding abstract, keywords, tables, figures and references
2. Structure the article in the following order:
   • A title page containing the title of the article, an abstract of 150-200 words, a list of a maximum of six keywords; name, affiliation, email ID, and ORCID ID (if available) of the author(s); and a short biography of the author(s) of 50-100 words

The main text of the article. It should not reflect the author's identity on any page.

Style and Formatting Guidelines

1. All submissions should be in Word files. However, all images should be sent separately in JPG format or PNG format
2. The language for all contributions should be in English. Please use American spelling style throughout your writing
3. Use Bookman Old Style font for all texts
4. Title of the contribution should be in 14-point font, all headings should be in 12-point font, and all subheadings and text should be in 10-point font
5. Use headings and subheadings in a hierarchical order, in bold, and in initial capitals and lower case
6. The main body of the text should be single-spaced with one space between paragraphs
7. Italicize all foreign languages used and write the English translation or explanation in parentheses.

References

Follow the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style for all in-text citations and bibliography. You can consult APA Formatting and Style Guide (7th Edition) to ensure appropriate referencing.

Please make sure your contribution conforms to the standard academic honesty practices. All attributions should be duly provided, and the text should be checked for plagiarism by the authors. Contributions having a high percentage of similarity (more than 15%) and AI-generated text (more than 10%) will be rejected.

SIMEC Bulletin is committed to upholding the peer-review ethics and ensuring the highest quality of review. Upon receiving your contribution, if it is deemed suitable by the Editorial Board, it will go through a double-blind peer review process. The reviewers will be selected by the editorial board according to the subject of your contribution. You will be notified about the acceptance/rejection after the first review.

SIMEC Bulletin authors retain the copyright over their work, and license it to the general public under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license allows for non-commercial use, reproduction, and adaptation of the material in any medium or format, with proper attribution, and under the same license for derivative works.

Publication charges apply only to research and review articles. If your article is accepted, a fee of USD 100 will be required. The review and publication process will typically take 2 to 3 months.

For faster processing, you may opt for our Fast Track Service by paying an additional USD 50. With this option, the review and publication process will be completed within 1 month.

Submission and Payment Process

All submissions to SIMEC Bulletin undergo a comprehensive peer-review process. Once the review is completed, including any necessary revisions, authors are required to pay the publication fee of USD 100. After the review is completed, authors will receive a Unique Invoice for the publication fee.

Accepted articles may require extensive English revisions, which are not included in the publication fee. Basic proofreading is covered within the fee, but for extensive editing, authors can either have the manuscript checked by a colleague fluent in English or opt for paid editing services offered by SIMEC Bulletin at a fixed fee of USD 50 per article.

Print Version

The publication fee does not cover reprints of the published article. After publication, authors will have access to download the full issue online. If authors wish to obtain physical copies, they are responsible for local printing arrangements. SIMEC Bulletin no longer accepts orders for hard copies as of June 2025.

Process of Submission

Upon submission, authors will receive an acknowledgment email from bulletin@simecresearch.com with an identification number, which must be used in all future correspondence regarding the submission.

The manuscript will be forwarded to the reviewers (either from the Editorial Board or external experts) for evaluation. If the manuscript is accepted, authors will receive a Unique Invoice for the publication fee. If the manuscript requires revisions, authors must make the necessary changes and submit the revised manuscript. After the revisions are completed, a Unique Invoice will be issued for payment.

Once the payment is confirmed, the manuscript will be processed for online publication. This includes proofreading, assigning a DOI number, and submitting the manuscript to our partnering indexing companies.

SIMEC Bulletin follows a clear refund policy:

1. Full Refund – If the accepted manuscript is not published online, the author will receive a full refund minus a USD 20 processing fee.
2. Partial Refund – If the author (s) withdraws the article after the peer-review process, a 50% refund will be issued.
