Delegates from International Mother language Institute visit the campus of SIMEC Institute of Technology on September 13, 2022

Prof. Md. Abdul Rahim-Professor of English; Md. Mizanur Rahman – Deputy Director of Publicity, Information and Communications department; Niger Sultana- Deputy Director, Publications & Research Planning department of International Mother language Institute, paid a curtesy visit to SIMEC Institute of Technology and its SIMEC Research Center on 13 September 2022.

International Mother language Institution is a UNESCO Category 2 Institute running under the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Division of Ministry of Education. It established to conduct research for preserving and upholding the dignity of the developing and endangered languages of the world. The prime objectives and missions of IMLI are collection and preservation of languages of the ethnic groups of different nations and countries of the world. Its mission is also to conduct research and training programs to collect information of different language movements including Bangla, as well as conducting research on disseminating historical information concerning language movements among the member countries of UNESCO. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina is the Chief Patron of the Institute.
